This item is for the purchase of the
FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Programs
vILT (virtual Instructor Led Training).
The Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) is a program that importers must have in place to verify that their foreign suppliers are producing food at the same level of public health protection as that of the preventive controls or produce safety regulations. This course developed by the FSPCA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for the FSVP rule.

Who should take this course?
Anyone that is importing food into the U.S. is required to take this course. An importer can be defined as “the U.S. owner or consignee of a food offered for import into the U.S. If there is no U.S. owner or consignee, the importer is the U.S. agency or representative of the foreign owner of consignee at time of entry.”
Prior to Virtual Training
- Participants will receive their virtual course login information and class documents via email one week prior to course date. If you have not received your login information, contact our office at 866.394.1776.
- It is recommended that participants check their audio and video systems to ensure they are working properly at least 24 hours in advance to avoid delays.
Computer Requirements
- Each participant must have their own computer. Dual screens recommended. No tablets or smart phones.
- Web camera with a microphone and speakers is required.
- Make sure Internet Browser is updated to the latest version. Google Chrome recommended.
- OS Requirements: For PC – Windows 7 recommended. For Mac – OSX 10.10 recommended.
- Additional Software Required: Participants will need access to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC during the training course. This program can be downloaded for free through the Adobe website – https://get.adobe.com/reader/
